TheNextWeb Conference, Momentum
ABOUT THE PROJECT
- TheNextWeb.com (TNW) is one of the world’s largest online publications, with over 7 million monthly visits.
- Dahlia Green was hired to establish TNW’s presence in North America.
- Already saturated with tech events, the challenge was to make TNW stand out from the crowd.
- Momentum brought Founders from some of the world’s biggest companies to share their personal “momentum” stories, and have intimate group discussions at personalized roundtables.

INTIMATE FOUNDER STORIES
One rule – no company pitches! Each of the 12 Founders told their honest, passionate, and sometimes personal stories of the key turning points of their pasts.

Reddit Co-Founder Alexis Ohanian reached out specifically upon hearing of the event theme, asking to share his intimate origin story for the first time

AFTER HOURS ROUNDTABLES
After Hours was Dahlia’s solution to the typical conference experience, where attendees have to sit and listen to one-directional content that is not relevant to their situation.
Instead, After Hours allowed attendees to sit and share a drink, not just with colleagues, but with industry leaders, gaining priceless insight on the questions and challenges actually facing them in their current situation.
This format has since been adopted by many conferences.
